This origami piece incorporates 4 different types of handmade paper--2 types of Lokta paper, wildcrafted and handmade artisan paper indigenous to Nepal; and 2 types made by the artist from paper scraps and foraged plants from Oregon. Mandiri means Independent in Indonesian, a language the artist speaks after growing up partly in Indonesia. 

This is an original art piece and no copies have been made from it.
